Additionally, a single tunnel is unlikely to sustain 20 Gbps; VPN throughput is constrained by gateway limits and encryption overhead, and performance is not as predictable as Interconnect. VPN is commonly used for lower bandwidth needs or as a backup to Interconnect, not as the primary 20+ Gbps path.
Incorrect. Cloud CDN is designed to cache and accelerate HTTP(S) content delivery to end users at the edge. It does not provide private network connectivity between an on-prem NAS and Compute Engine instances, and it is not a mechanism for synchronizing RAW footage to render workers. Even with Dedicated Interconnect, adding Cloud CDN is unnecessary and mismatched to the workload (NAS sync/file transfer rather than web content caching).
Incorrect. This combines two mismatches: Cloud CDN does not solve private NAS-to-VM synchronization, and a single VPN tunnel still uses the public internet and won’t reliably provide 20+ Gbps with predictable latency. CDN might appear attractive for “media,” but it targets content distribution to viewers, not high-throughput private ingestion/synchronization into a VPC for rendering workloads.
